Identifying the needs of healthcare stakeholders
Balfour Beatty led Consort Healthcare, a consortium bidding to build and manage two new PFI hospitals for Birmingham. The £500 million project was for two separate NHS Trusts. Consort asked Innovia to help the Trusts understand the complex expectations of their various stakeholders in relation to the design and feel of the new facilities.
Innovia designed a process and facilitated a series of workshops to identify the needs of stakeholders in both acute medicine and mental health. The outcomes were used as part of the brief for the design of the hospitals.
Consort was announced as winner of the bid. Innovia is now working with Balfour Beatty to make these workshops an integral part of the process for future PFI bids.
